AmeriClean Celebrates 25 Years; 1984 - 2009

Some Things Change, and Some Things Stay the Same.
When Sheila and Russ Ellis started AmeriClean back in 1984, Russ went door-to-door carrying portable cleaning equipment and Sheila answered phones while caring for a two-year-old and four-year-old.
In 1984, Ronald Reagan was president. Popular entertainment included the movie Ghostbusters and the TV show Dynasty.
Now it’s 2009, and we’ve got a new president. The principles of democracy stay the same, but, regardless of political affiliation, circumstances change.
For any business that thrives over twenty-five years, the same is true. Good things, like top-notch customer service, stay the same. As technology changes, though, companies like AmeriClean stay right in step with the most innovative practices.
Today, AmeriClean technicians travel to customers’ homes driving truck-mounted self-contained hot water steam extraction units. We bring water to cleaning sites—and remove all wastewater when we leave.
We use top-of-the-line cleaning techniques and environmentally friendly, yet effective, cleaning solutions. We offer ScotchgardTM protection and maintenance cleaning to help make the most of customers’ investments in carpet and upholstery.
As economic times change, we’ve helped customers weather downturns by refreshing the carpets and upholstery they already have—and, if customers want to sell their homes, doing our part to make home staging successful. We’ve also helped new homebuyers make carpets and tile look new again.
This past year, Russ invented and installed a one-of-a-kind “rug bath” in our plant to make our area rug cleaning techniques the best you’ll find. We added a new Web site, goamericlean.com, with tips about everything from emergency spot cleaning to buying a vacuum cleaner. We brought a new staff member on board—Tim Ellis, who was just two when AmeriClean started—as director of marketing.
Some bedrock principles at AmeriClean haven’t changed. We still offer the same great customer service. We still maintain certification with the Institute of Inspection, Cleaning, and Restoration (IICRC). We still believe in continuing education for every employee.
Some things change—and some things stay the same.
AmeriClean thanks you, our customers, for a great twenty-five years, and we look forward to many wonderful years to come.
We’re honored to be a part of your lives as times change—while we hold fast to those things that should always stay the same.
