What does it mean?
The word “ebullient” means “overflowing with fervor, enthusiasm, or excitement; high spirited.” Less often, it can also mean “bubbling up like a boiling liquid.”
Where does it come from?
The word has its origins in the Latin word, “ebullire,” which means “to bubble up.” The “e” at the beginning of the word comes from the prefix “ex-“ which means “out of, away from.” “Bullire” comes from the word “bulla,” which means “to bubble.”
How do you use it?
After a long winter, spring made us all ebullient.
