What makes carpet so soft and fluffy are the air pockets between each and every carpet fiber. All of these fibers act as air filters; filtering dust, dirt, and dander that would otherwise be air-born. Before you know it, your carpet starts to look dingy, dull, matted, and even soiled. This “air-filter” process is just one way your carpet begins to “look” like it needs to be cleaned.
Another source of heavy soiling in carpet is foot traffic, especially in high traffic areas. Both foot traffic by human and our furry friends can contribute to this excessive soiling. All of this build up in the carpet fibers starts to act like sandpaper, wearing and ruining the carpet fibers.
Whether it is wall-to-wall carpet, area rugs or Oriental-style rugs your carpet needs to be vacuumed regularly and cleaned professionally on a regular basis. That's where AmeriClean comes in.

AmeriClean's Carpet Cleaning Process:
1. Pre-inspection
When AmeriClean's Cleaning Technician arrives he will review your order and commence a walk-through to address your areas of concern. He will also take note of the carpet construction and soiling conditions advising you of any possible permanent staining.
2. Furniture Moving (optional)
You may have us move some furniture. You may just need your “traffic areas” cleaned. That’s determined when you call or e-mail us for an estimate. Minimal charges do apply for moving some furniture and we're happy to provide you with that service.
Note: We do not move pieces such as gun cases, full china cabinets, pianos, etc for liability reasons.
3. Pre-spray & Pre-spot
Traffic areas will be treated with a heated pre-spray and agitated with a carpet rake as necessary to loosen the soil. Spots will be addressed with a pre-treatment that fits the criteria of the spot itself.
4. Rinse & Extract
Our hot water truck-mounted system will thoroughly clean the carpet pile deep down while extracting the soil and cleaning agents. A rinsing agent is used to neutralize the cleaning agents leaving no residue and a softer carpet pile. Water pressure is regulated and powerful extraction is used so that the carpet is not over-wet. Water temperature ranges from 190°—220° F.
Note:
Some refer to this as "steam cleaning" however, the technical name for this part of the process is hot water extraction. Steam is not used but it is called steam cleaning due to the water vapors that are created from pressure and hot water.
5. Re-inspection & Re-clean
If any spots or stubborn areas are not removed at this point, specialty spotting techniques are used. If the area is then considered a “stain” you will be informed by your Cleaning Technician.
6. ScotchGard™ Carpet & Fabric Protector(optional)
We recommend having ScotchGard™ re-applied after every cleaning. In fact, carpet manufacturer’s also recommend it. In some cases it’s even required to maintain your warranty.

7. Grooming
For cut-pile carpets, the carpet pile is raked leaving the pile standing tall and prepared for drying. This provides faster drying times and it looks nice too. And, if you have ScotchGard™ applied the grooming helps the ScotchGard™ to cover every part of the carpet fibers ensuring proper protection.
8. Post-inspection
We ask that you walk through areas that have been cleaned with our Cleaning Technician. This is time for you to notice the job well done and to address any questions/concerns you may have. Our Cleaning Technician will be happy to answer any questions and re-clean any area you have concerns about.
